Oldboy (2003)
Was Murdoch's interested in neanimorphic-individuals [folks who appear younger than they actually are] ? Why was he watching this thing called "Oldboy"? Was he interested in relationships with older men?
American Beauty (1999)
Was he an practitioner of geneclexis [one who seeks a mate based on their appearance]; whilst having a preference for Americans? He seems to have liked David Bowie's "I'm Afraid Of Americans" at around the same time. Did Murdoch have some sort of love/hate relationship with these "Americans"?
Midnight Runners (2017)
Was Murdoch search for some sort of mesonoxian [related to midnight] courier job?
Die Hard (1988)
Does he have some sort of suicidal idealization? Why does he like this "Die Hard"? Does he want to Die Hard? What does this hard refer to? Does it refer to something phallic?
Cowboy Bebop (1998)
Why did Murdoch have an interest in Cowboys and Bebop this "style of jazz developed in the early to mid-1940s in the United States, which features compositions characterized by a fast tempo, complex chord progressions with rapid chord changes and numerous changes of key, instrumental virtuosity" [See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bebop ]. I believe he may of had a desire to become a hyper-efficient individual. Maybe doing some cow herding, as a freelance worker, whilst searching for jazz musician gigs in all the towns he had herded cattle to.Police Story (1985)
Does he have a desire to become a jackboot'ian cop? Hmm, why was he interested in the fuzz?
Snatch (2000)
As a psychoanalyst, I see Murdoch had harpaxophobia [the fear of thieves or of becoming a thief]. This must have been an ever-present fear throughout his life.
